Under Water is the passion project of singer/songwriter Erin Hickman. Erin started her musical education at an early age; studying jazz vocals and dabbling in stringed instruments. At age 17 she went on to write and independently record her first EP, Adieus. Erin's latest, and most ambitious musical adventures began in 2008, when she began experimenting with little instruments and tender harmonies, affectionately known as "Under Water." Under Water has since developed into many shapes, including lively performances and intimate recordings; persistently attempting to define a new genre of music. With it's sound born somewhere between Los Angeles and Hawaii, Under Water combines the unique and bright tones of ukulele-driven, folk melodies, with rich, haunting vocals reminiscent of Billie Holiday and Jolie Holland. Under Water is currently recording and performing in Los Angeles, CA.

The Party

	Steven Sims Steven has been banging on drums since his early hay days back east. From pots and pans to snares and tambourines, percussion has been his one true love since childhood. When he's not playing with Under Water he's usually entertaining the LA scene with jokes, funny dances and his slick personality. As co-founder of Los Angeles based production company, Phalco Films, Steven spends most of his time as a writer, director and actor. 	Lee Butcher When he is not slaving away under the oppressive musical generalship of Erin Hickman, Lee is writing his own tunes and playing out around Los Angeles. 	Jeremy Tague Jeremy got his first guitar at age 18 and vowed to become the best guitar player the world has ever known. When that dream quickly became hauntingly unrealistic he decided to become slightly above average. Luckily, a boundless creativity and highly defined musical intuition have kept Jeremy’s unique talents in demand. As a recent addition to Under Water, Jeremy’s melodic expressions are drawing out a layer of emotion and beauty that only accentuates the bands already masterfully crafted songs.
